Day One: Then Things About You

1. I think that people screw up when they start mixing faith and spirituality with organized religion. I think it was said best in Dogma:

"Rufus: He [Christ] still digs humanity, but it bothers Him to see the shit that gets carried out in His name - wars, bigotry, televangelism. But especially the factioning of all the religions. He said humanity took a good idea and, like always, built a belief structure on it.
Bethany: Having beliefs isn't good?
Rufus: I think it's better to have ideas. You can change an idea. Changing a belief is trickier. Life should malleable and progressive; working from idea to idea permits that. Beliefs anchor you to certain points and limit growth; new ideas can't generate. Life becomes stagnant."

2. I secretly love Martha Stewart. I not so secretly love Rachel Ray. I have to give some respect to any woman that can stand up and cook for an audience, or decorate anything at all.

3. I'm obsessed with books. Not necessarily reading them all (though i do love to read), but being surrounded by books, enjoying the old paper smell. Bookstores are heaven for me. I dislike this new electronic book thing.

4. Master got a saltwater aquarium and i like to give him shit cause i do a lot of the work for it. But in truth, i like doing the chemical testing and stuff on it.

5. I see nothing wrong with downloading movies and music, mostly cause actors and musicians on a large scale get paid so fucking much anyway.

6. I hate things on my feet- shoes, socks, slippers... Yet i can't sleep with out my feet covered by blankets.

7. Lots of horror movies give me nightmares, but i still love the thrill of watching them.

8. When i was younger, i thought about using bulimia or anorexia to lose weight. But i like food to much to starve myself and can't stand throwing up.

9. I've barely ever been out of the state of Oklahoma. I've never seen an ocean. I desperately want that to change.

10. I like cats better than dogs, but only because cats can maintain themselves better than dogs.
